How to Prioritize a Telegram Inbox with AI

A chronological Telegram inbox tells you which chat changed most recently. It does not tell you which customer is blocked, which promise is overdue, or which quiet conversation needs attention today.
Use AI to help review the context, then prioritize by an explicit rule you can explain. The goal is a useful action queue, not an opaque score.
Start with commitments and consequences
Before asking an assistant to rank chats, decide what makes a conversation urgent for your work. A practical first pass might be:
- A customer cannot continue until you answer.
- You promised something by a date that is now due or overdue.
- A proposal or introduction needs a timely next step.
- An important relationship needs a check-in, with no immediate deadline.
- A group is active but has no action for you.
These are example review categories, not a fixed Chiho scoring formula. Adjust them to your process and ask the assistant to explain the evidence for each suggested priority.
Separate a message from an action
Consider three illustrative conversations. A group has fifty new messages about an event. A customer sent one message saying their onboarding is blocked. A partner has been silent since you promised an introduction yesterday.
The group wins on recency and volume, but the other conversations may need action first. Review whether the event discussion contains a request for you before treating its activity as urgency.
A useful output is: “Customer onboarding — needs your reply — last message reports a blocker,” followed by the source conversation and a proposed next step. If the evidence is unclear, keep the item as a question rather than turning it into a confident task.
Ask for a review before changing the CRM
Example request:
Review these selected chats and my tasks due today. Identify blocked customers, overdue commitments, and conversations waiting on me. Explain each recommendation. Suggest tags or tasks, but do not change records or send messages.
Use the VIP inbox skill when you already have an agreed set of important relationships. Use the follow-up task skill to turn reviewed next steps into CRM tasks.
Keep the queue current
After responding, check whether the task is still yours. “Waiting for customer” is different from “I need to reply.” Mark a task complete only when the work is finished, and update the next action if the conversation changes.
Avoid treating every old chat as neglected. Some conversations are intentionally quiet. A deadline, unresolved question, or stated commitment is better evidence than silence alone.
Review the assistant’s limits
A summary can miss context, confuse a proposed date with an agreed date, or overstate urgency. Check the original messages for the highest-impact items. Reading a chat also does not guarantee it has an imported CRM record; resolve sync state before trying to attach missing metadata.
Creating a follow-up task does not automatically send a reply. Message sending and recurring rules are separate actions. Review the MCP permissions guide before allowing an AI client to execute changes.
